Champions League night was the most searched thing in Pakistan on Tuesday, and it delivered. Defending champions Paris Saint-Germain were 4-0 up at Villarreal inside 16 minutes and won 6-0, while Manchester United came back from two goals down to beat Roma 3-2 at Old Trafford.

The matches kicked off late on Tuesday night Pakistan time, which is why searches for “psg”, “man united”, “barcelona” and “atletico vs bayern” kept climbing past midnight.

How did Man United beat Roma?

For almost an hour it looked like another bad night for Michael Carrick. Matias Soule scored for Roma inside 11 minutes and Donyell Malen added a penalty before the 20-minute mark. Bruno Fernandes pulled one back from the spot in the 58th minute, after the penalty had to be retaken.

Then Matheus Cunha took over. He equalised in the 83rd minute and scored the winner three minutes later. He did not finish the match: his first yellow card came for celebrating shirtless in the crowd and his second for a late tackle, so United played the closing minutes with ten men.

The win ended a nine-match run without a victory in all competitions and was United’s third win of this Champions League campaign. There was also a protest against the club’s owners, the Glazer family: tennis balls landed on the pitch just after 20 minutes, a reference to their 2005 takeover, and fans held green and gold balloons before kick-off.

PSG’s six and Yamal’s record

PSG, who have won the competition in each of the last two seasons, were ruthless in Spain. Joao Neves, Desire Doue, Senny Mayulu and David Boly scored, and Fabian added two.

In Barcelona, Lamine Yamal curled in the opener against Aston Villa in the 7th minute. It was his 14th Champions League goal, the most ever by a teenager, one more than Kylian Mbappe managed before turning 20. Yamal is 19 years and 113 days old. Raphinha then scored twice in the second half, the first deflected in seven minutes after the break and the second from a Joao Cancelo cross.

Bayern end their Madrid jinx

Bayern Munich won 2-0 at Atletico Madrid with goals from Lennart Karl and Konrad Laimer, a ground where they had struggled in the past.
