Privacy policy
Last updated: 30 October 2026. Digital Akhbaar (digitalakhbaar.uk), run from Lahore, Pakistan, keeps the data it collects to a minimum.
Reading the site
You can read every story without an account. We do not use advertising or analytics trackers. Our host, Cloudflare, processes basic technical data (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver and protect the site. Your light/dark theme choice is saved in your own browser only.
News alerts
If you allow browser notifications, our alert provider OneSignal stores a notification ID for your browser so we can send breaking-news alerts. You can turn alerts off at any time in your browser's site settings, which removes the subscription.
Instagram (@digitalakhbaaruk)
If you comment a keyword such as "NEWS" on one of our Instagram posts, or send us a direct message, our app uses Instagram's official API to read that comment or message and send you one private reply with the link to the story. We use your Instagram-scoped ID and the comment or message text only to send that reply. We keep only the comment or message ID and the time we replied, so we never reply twice, and we delete that record after 30 days. We do not store your name, username or profile, we do not sell or share your data, and we do not send you unrequested messages.
Embedded posts and videos
Stories may embed posts and videos from YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, X or Facebook. Those services may set their own cookies when you play or view them; their own privacy policies apply. YouTube videos load in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com) until you press play.
Your rights and deleting your data
To have any data about you deleted, see our data deletion instructions or email waqar@digitalakhbaar.uk. We reply within 30 days.
