Asim Jofa festive collection 2026: 7 unstitched suits under Rs 8,000

Asim Jofa's new festive unstitched drop runs from Rs 7,199 to Rs 7,899: chiffon, twisted silk, boski and net. Seven we would wear to a mehndi or dholki.

Asim Jofa has put a fresh batch of festive unstitched suits on its website this week under its Festive Collection ’26 banner, and the pricing is the headline: every piece we looked at sits between Rs 7,199 and Rs 7,899. For a designer label known for formal and bridal wear, that is a sensible entry point into wedding season.

The fabrics are what you want for winter functions: chiffon, twisted silk, boski silk and poly net, worked with zari, sequins and contrast threadwork. Prices below were checked on the brand’s site on Tuesday, 3 November.

The pieces we liked

AJFU-18, green chiffon (Rs 7,199). The cheapest of the lot and one of the best. A heavily worked border and neckline in antique gold zari, with maroon and rust thread to warm up the green, and a zari-check net dupatta. It reads expensive.

AJFU-16, mustard twisted silk (Rs 7,399). A long, kaftan-style shirt covered in light gold cupped sequins, with navy and off-white thread for contrast. The brand pitches it for mayun, mehndi and dholki, and the colour does the job. Note this one is a 2-piece.

AJFU-09, burnt maroon chiffon (Rs 7,499). A short shirt with an ornate neckline and border, paired with mustard trousers you can stitch as farshi or dhaka pants. Maroon and mustard is a classic combination that photographs well under fairy lights.

AJFU-08, tea pink twisted silk (Rs 7,699). Rose gold zari with navy and shocking pink thread, finished with a navy embroidered dupatta. For someone who wants pink without looking like the bride.

AJFU-06, black boski silk (Rs 7,799). The most grown-up option here: black with antique gold, maroon and green work, softened by a mint green dupatta. Good for a walima or a dinner where you want to look polished rather than loud.

AJFU-04, blue poly net peshwas (Rs 7,699). Twenty embroidered kalis and scattered sequins give it a big flare; the brand compares it to a starlit sky and that is fair. It needs a good tailor and a proper can-can lining.

AJFU-02, off-white poly net (Rs 7,899). Sixteen kalis with light gold zari, designed to be stitched either as a kalidaar or as a lehenga choli. If you have one outfit to buy for several functions, this is the flexible choice.

Styling and value

Keep jewellery to one statement piece: big jhumkas with the short shirts, a simple tikka or none with the peshwas. Gold khussas suit the yellows and maroons; with the black and the off-white, a nude or gold block heel looks cleaner.

Remember that unstitched means you will add stitching, lining and possibly can-can on top, which can double the cost of the net pieces. Even so, at under Rs 8,000 for fabric with this much embroidery, the drop is good value for the label. A few designs in the same range (AJFU-03, -10, -11 and -19) were already sold out when we checked, so popular colours may not last.
