Bonanza Satrangi winter collection 2026: 8 khaddar suits under Rs 8,000
Bonanza Satrangi's new unstitched winter suits start at Rs 2,990, and several come with a shawl instead of a dupatta. Eight we liked, from basic to dressy.

If you buy winter suits the old way, unstitched and in bulk, Bonanza Satrangi’s new arrivals are worth a look this week. The brand added a run of khaddar, cambric and herringbone three-pieces between 26 October and 2 November, and most of them are under Rs 8,000. The useful twist: many come with a 2.5-metre shawl in place of the dupatta, so the suit is warm enough on its own. We picked eight, from the cheapest to the dressiest. Prices were checked on the brand’s website on Wednesday, 4 November.
Under Rs 4,000: the everyday four
Citronelle (Rs 2,990) is a lime green digital-printed khaddar shirt with a printed khaddar dupatta and a dyed khaddar trouser. At this price you get 1.75 metres for the shirt, so it suits a regular-length kameez rather than a long one.
Vintage Merlot (Rs 2,990) is the same recipe in a warm red with an all-over print, and a red-and-cream striped dupatta. Red khaddar is a December classic for a reason; it looks good in grey weather.
Garden Noir (Rs 3,890) has an off-white printed shirt with green leaf work, a printed trouser, and a dark printed acrylic shawl. Off-white in winter feels fresh, and the dark shawl stops it looking summery.
Verdant Bloom (Rs 3,890) is a green shirt with big multicoloured florals and a striped printed acrylic shawl. It is cheerful and very much a daytime suit.
Acrylic shawls are warm and light but can pill after a season of heavy use; wash them gently and inside out.
Rs 5,990 to Rs 7,990: the dressy four
Gulaab (Rs 5,990) is the one for dawats: an embroidered front panel, kalis and sleeves on red cambric, with a printed silk dupatta in rose tones. Cambric is lighter than khaddar, so this is for early winter or indoor functions.
Midnight Meadow (Rs 6,990) is our favourite of the lot: a black khaddar shirt with an embroidered front and sleeves, a yarn-dyed jacquard shawl and 2.5 metres of dyed khaddar for the trouser. Black, warm and quietly smart.
Anaari (Rs 7,490) comes in beige with embroidered centre and side panels on khaddar, a cambric chaak border and a jacquard shawl. The floral embroidery in dusty pinks makes it a good choice for a winter nikkah guest who wants something soft.
Mahiya (Rs 7,990) uses herringbone, a thicker woven fabric, for both the shirt and the printed trouser, with an embroidered front and a printed acrylic shawl. It is the warmest suit on this list.
Is it good value?
Yes, with one condition: stitching. Add your tailor’s charge, which climbs in wedding season, to the price before comparing these with ready-to-wear. The embroidered pieces with shawls (Midnight Meadow, Anaari and Mahiya) give the most for the money, because the shawl alone replaces a separate winter purchase.
