Spoilers ahead for Dar-e-Nijaat Episode 27, which aired on ARY Digital on Saturday, 31 October.

For 26 episodes Dar-e-Nijaat made its audience wait for Zaryab to let Abu Bakr in. Episode 27 finally gave them the moment, and it arrived in the least romantic place possible: a gynaecologist’s waiting room. By Sunday the clip of Zaryab and Abu Bakr’s first embrace was all over Instagram and TikTok, and “Dar e Nijaat episode 27” was among the drama searches of the day.

What happens in Dar-e-Nijaat Episode 27

Zaryab (Dur-e-Fishan Saleem) goes to the clinic with her sister Faryal and comes face to face with Hamna, the pregnant wife of Zamil, the man who once broke her. The scene is quiet at first and then it collapses. Zaryab cannot hold herself together, ends up on the floor and cannot get up.

What follows is the cleverest bit of the episode. In her head, Abu Bakr (Sheheryar Munawar) walks in and helps her to her feet. The camera lets us believe it for a second before showing it is her imagination. Then, when he really is there, she holds on to him, and for once she is calm.

It works because the drama earned it. Abu Bakr has been patient to the point that some viewers called him unrealistic. Here that patience pays off without a speech: no grand confession, just a woman choosing the one person who never pushed her.

Performances and writing

Dur-e-Fishan plays the breakdown without tricks. Her Zaryab does not cry prettily; she shrinks, loses her breath and goes still, which makes the hug land harder. Sheheryar Munawar, who also produces the serial, does most of his work with his eyes in this episode, and that is exactly what fans picked up on. One widely shared comment called him “the male Sajal Aly” for it.

Umera Ahmed’s script keeps Hamna from becoming a villain. She is simply there, pregnant and unaware, and that is what makes the scene hurt. Director Saqib Khan holds the shots long enough for the silence to do the talking.

How fans reacted

The reaction was close to unanimous. Comments under ARY’s clips praised the pair’s chemistry, with many calling it the scene they had waited weeks for. Fan pages turned the embrace into edits within hours. We did not see any serious criticism of the episode itself; the only complaints were about how long the next episode is to wait for.

For viewers catching up: we reviewed Episode 25 and wrote about who Abu Bakar is and the Mujhse Kyun Bair Kiya OST.

What next

ARY’s official promo for Episode 28 is already up on its YouTube channel. The big question it leaves is whether Zaryab will tell Abu Bakr what seeing Hamna did to her, or bury it again. Dar-e-Nijaat airs on ARY Digital at 8 PM, with episodes on the channel’s YouTube soon after.
