Bangles and earrings for wedding season 2026: 7 picks under Rs 2,000 from J. and Limelight
Silver kara bangles, ghungroo choorian, pearl-centred drops and a beaded choker set: seven pieces under Rs 2,000 from J. and Limelight for this wedding season.

A full set of gold choorian is out of reach for most families at today’s gold prices, and nobody wants to risk their real jewellery at a crowded mehndi anyway. That is why the fashion-jewellery counters fill up every November. We looked at the new bangles from J. and the jewellery on Limelight’s website and picked seven pieces under Rs 2,000 that look good in photos and with formal suits. Prices were checked on Sunday, 1 November.
Three sets of bangles from J.
J. has added a small bangle range this season. On the site all of them are named simply “Multicolor Bangles”, so go by the photo and the code.
The silver kara pair (BN26083, Rs 690). Two broad silver-tone karas set with round mirror pieces and floral studs. This is the most useful of the three: wear one on each wrist with a white or pastel suit, or stack them with plain glass bangles in your outfit’s colour.
Silver choorian with ghungroo (BN26077, Rs 1,990). A full stack of thin silver-tone bangles with chains of little ghungroo bells hanging between them. They jingle, which is the point at a dholki. They suit black, maroon and jewel-toned velvet best.
Gold-tone beaded choorian (BN26081, Rs 1,290). A neat stack of thin gold-tone bangles with tiny beads along each one. They pass for the classic gold set from a distance and go with any warm colour, from mustard to rust.
Four pieces from Limelight
Roselle Drops (Rs 1,499). Champagne-gold flower earrings made of woven wire petals and leaves, each with a smooth beige pearl in the centre. Soft enough for a nikkah, interesting enough for a walima. They work with both gold and pearl jewellery.
Choker Necklace set (Rs 1,999). A golden choker of clustered beaded balls with a matching bracelet, closed with an adjustable lobster clasp. On a high-neck or boat-neck kameez a choker fills the gap better than a long necklace.
Gemstone Earrings (Rs 999). Large rectangular clear stones in a thin gold-tone frame, with a push-back closure: a bold but simple pair for any formal plan.
Hinged Cuff Bracelet, silver (Rs 1,199). A clean silver-tone cuff that opens on a hinge. Wear it on the wrist without bangles, or with the J. silver kara pair on the other hand for balance.
How to wear them
Do not stack every piece at once. Choose your loud spot: if the bangles are heavy, keep the earrings small, and the other way round. Match the metal to the work on your clothes: silver-tone with silver tilla and mirror work, gold-tone with gold zari and gotta. Fashion jewellery lasts longer if you keep it away from perfume and water and store it in a pouch, not loose in a drawer.
These are plated metal, not gold or silver, and are priced that way. For a real investment piece, buy from a jeweller who gives a written weight and purity slip.
