The U19 Asia Cup 2026 started in Oman on Thursday, 5 November, and Pakistan begin their title defence against the UAE on Friday, 6 November, at 10 AM Pakistan time. The big one comes two days later: Pakistan against India on Sunday, 8 November.

Pakistan are the champions. In the last final, played in Dubai in December 2025, they beat India by 191 runs.

Pakistan’s U19 Asia Cup 2026 schedule

All matches are 50-over games at the Oman Cricket Academy grounds in Al Amerat, starting at 10 AM PKT:

  • Friday, 6 November: Pakistan vs UAE (OCA Ground 2)
  • Sunday, 8 November: Pakistan vs India (OCA Ground 1)
  • Tuesday, 10 November: Pakistan vs Nepal (OCA Ground 1)
  • Thursday, 12 November: semi-finals
  • Saturday, 14 November: final

Eight teams are playing. Pakistan are in Group A with India, the UAE and Nepal. Group B has Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Malaysia. The top two from each group go to the semi-finals.

Who is in the Pakistan U19 squad?

The Pakistan Cricket Board named 15 players on 27 October, with top-order batter Farhan Yousuf as captain:

  • Batters: Farhan Yousuf (captain), Usman Khan, Hayam Khan, Jahangir Bilal, Huzaifa Ahsan
  • Wicketkeepers: Abdul Qadir, Hamza Zahoor
  • All-rounders: Ahmed Hussain, Hasnain Abbas Dar
  • Fast bowlers: Abdul Subhan, Mohammad Seyam, Ali Raza, Rizwanullah
  • Spinners: Mohammad Huzaifa (left-arm wrist spin), Niqab Shafiq (left-arm spin)

Most of this group beat England 3-1 in a youth one-day series in September. Ali Raza and Huzaifa Ahsan are the only two who were not part of that series.

The coaching team is led by Shahid Anwar, who is head coach and team manager. Former Pakistan fast bowler Rao Iftikhar Anjum coaches the quicks, Zohaib Khan the spinners and Humayun Farhat the fielding. The squad left Karachi for Oman on 29 October, so they have had a week to get used to the conditions.

Why the India match matters

It is a rematch of last year’s final, and Sunday’s group game will go a long way to deciding who tops Group A. A win over the UAE first would let Pakistan go into it without pressure.

For fans, the timing is easy: a 10 AM start means the second innings runs through the afternoon in Pakistan. After Friday’s opener, the next thing to watch is how Farhan Yousuf’s top order handles the new ball in Oman.
