Ramayana advance booking crosses Rs63 crore worldwide before 5 November release
Ranbir Kapoor's Ramayana: Part 1 has sold over 7.6 lakh tickets in India three days before release. The numbers, the cast and what the trade expects.

Ramayana: Part 1, the Ranbir Kapoor and Yash epic directed by Nitesh Tiwari, had pulled in about Rs63.5 crore (Indian rupees) in advance ticket sales worldwide by Sunday, 1 November, according to box-office tracking figures. The film opens on Thursday, 5 November, just before Diwali, and is one of the most searched films in India this week.
Ramayana advance booking: the numbers so far
By Sunday the film had sold more than 7.6 lakh tickets across 23,199 shows in India, worth about Rs34 crore, according to the Sacnilk tracker that the Indian trade relies on. When block-booked seats are added, the India figure rises to around Rs36 crore. Overseas sales add roughly Rs29.5 crore, about $3.5 million, led by North America at about $2.58 million. Paid premieres abroad on 4 November have already crossed $1 million.
The Hindi version accounts for about 84% of Indian sales, with the Kannada, Telugu and Tamil versions making up the rest. Maharashtra, Delhi and Karnataka are the top-selling states, and the Delhi region and Mumbai are the top cities.
In the big national multiplex chains alone, more than two lakh tickets had been sold three days before release, according to trade figures.
Who is in it
Ranbir Kapoor plays Ram, Sai Pallavi plays Sita and Yash plays Ravan. Yash, the KGF star, is also one of the producers, alongside Namit Malhotra. Nitesh Tiwari, who made Dangal, directs. The story is split into two films, with Part 2 planned for Diwali 2027.
What the trade expects on day one
Trade estimates say the film could pass Rs200 crore worldwide on its opening day if sales keep growing at this pace, and some overseas projections put the first weekend abroad at $20 to 25 million. Those are forecasts, not results: big films often add most of their first-day sales in the last 48 hours, and early reviews and word of mouth after the 4 November premieres will decide whether those numbers hold.
Can it be watched in Pakistan?
Indian films have not been released in Pakistani cinemas for years, so Ramayana will not open here. Pakistani viewers will have to wait for the streaming release, which has not been announced.
The first real box-office figure will come on Friday morning, 6 November, when day-one collections are reported.
