Gold price in Pakistan today: Rs429,136 per tola after Rs6,500 fall
24-karat gold fell Rs6,500 to Rs429,136 a tola on Friday, wiping out most of Thursday's jump as the world price slipped near $4,066.

Gold gave back most of Thursday’s surge on Friday, 6 November. The All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) set 24-karat gold at Rs429,136 per tola, down Rs6,500 in a day.
On Thursday the same tola had jumped Rs9,600 to Rs435,636, which we reported here. So anyone who bought at the top of that spike is already about Rs6,500 a tola behind.
Gold rate today at a glance (Friday, 6 November)
- 24K, per tola: Rs429,136 (down Rs6,500)
- 24K, per 10 grams: Rs367,914 (down Rs5,573)
- 22K, per 10 grams: about Rs337,266
- World price: around $4,066 an ounce, down about $65
The association’s rate is the reference most jewellers start from, but the price at the counter can differ by a few thousand rupees. Shops in Lahore and Karachi were quoting between Rs427,500 and Rs428,000 for a tola of piece gold on Friday afternoon, below the association’s figure.
Why did gold fall today?
The local price follows the world price, converted at the dollar rate, plus a local premium. Gold slipped back below $4,100 an ounce on Friday as oil fell on signs of de-escalation in the Gulf and traders waited for the US jobs report due on Friday evening Pakistan time. A strong jobs number usually lifts the dollar and pushes gold down; a weak one does the opposite. That means Saturday’s rate could move again.
What it means if you are buying for a wedding
Wedding season has started and many families buy in stages. Two days of swings worth Rs9,600 up and Rs6,500 down show how quickly a set of bangles can change price. Ask the jeweller for the day’s association rate, check the karat stamp, and get the making charges written on the bill separately.
